Mary L. Hoffman-Larsen, age 79 of Mankato, died Sunday, January 06, 2008 at Autumn Grace in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Calvary Lutheran Church in Rapidan with Rev. Krista Strum officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery in Rapidan. Visitation will be from 4 " 7 p.m., Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday.

Mary was born December 10, 1928 to John and Bertha (Meyer) Gartner in Mapleton, MN. She graduated from Mapleton High School. Mary was married to Melvin Hoffman on December 18, 1947, they later divorced. She married Willis Larsen May 2, 1986. Mary worked at ISJ Hospital in Mankato, Madsen Value Center, and sold Avon for many years. She was a member of Calvary Lutheran in Rapidan and Good Sam's Camping Club. Mary enjoyed camping, flowers gardens, and winters in Texas.

Mary is survived by five children, Dale Hoffman, Larry Hoffman all of Good Thunder, Steve Hoffman of Rapidan, Connie Wendt of Mankato, Shirley (Brian) Hall of Good Thunder; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brother, Pete Gartner of Mankato; many nieces, nephews, and cousins; her cat, Cat.

Preceded in death by her former husband, husband, two grandchildren, several brothers and sisters.
