Dolores Louise Pettis

Dolores Louise Pettis, age 92 of Owatonna, MN died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Owatonna Hospital.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 29, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Bart Fletcher officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be held Saturday from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary.

Dolores was born on May 6, 1915 in Otisco, MN to Walter and Arvilla (Matz) Schlossin. She graduated from Waterville High School in 1931 and Mankato Commercial College in 1933. She was united in marriage to George A. Pettis on January 26, 1935 at Centenary United Methodist Church in Mankato. Dolores worked as a bookkeeper at various auto dealers in the Mankato Area and retired from Minnesota Valley Ford Tractor in 1977. After retirement she and her husband spent eight winters in Texas.

She enjoyed dancing, cards, and spending time with her family.

Dolores is survived by two sons, Warren (Maggie) Pettis of Danville, VA, Lynn (Linda) Pettis of Owatonna, MN; five grandchildren, Kimberly (Angelo) Procaccino, Rory Pettis, Shane (Molly) Pettis, Lance (Tricia) Pettis, and Brady Pettis; one great-grandson, Ethan Pettis; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, George in 1997, and one sister, Arlene.
