Ruth G (Nye) Acre

Ruth Georgie Ann Van Den Acre, age 74, of Mankato, died Monday, December 17, 2007 at her home.

Memorial Service will be held at 6:00 p.m., Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Conrad Vine officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the mortuary.

Ruth was born February 20, 1933 to Carl C. and Lillian A. (Schrupp) Nye in Henderson, MN. She was raised and attended school in Henderson. Ruth was a cook at the Holiday House in St. Peter, then at the Morson-Ario VFW. She was a member of the Mankato Seventh Day Adventist Church. Ruth enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family.

Ruth is survived by her nine children: Mary Jo (Dan) Klingbeil of Bricelyn, Linda (Dennis) Hoehn of Mankato, Dan (Autumn) Robinson of Mankato, Peggy (Ben) Michel of Mankato, Bruce (Cindy) Robinson of Marshall, Thomas (special friend, Sandy) Van Den Acre, Jr. of Mankato, Krissy (special friend, Larry) Beyer of Vinje, IA, Cindy Van Den Acre of Winnebago, and Bonnie (John) Schruin of Mankato; fifteen grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one sister, two brothers, many nieces and nephews.

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and two sisters.
