Eleanor F Zastrow

Eleanor F. Zastrow, age 90, of rural Good Thunder, died Thursday, November 29, 2007 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

Funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at St. John Lutheran Church in Good Thunder with Rev. Rudolph H. Maurer, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Monday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Tuesday. Memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice.

Eleanor was born September 4, 1917 in Good Thunder to Ernest and Ida (Kopischke) Heitner. She married Clarence M. Zastrow on August 19, 1945 in Good Thunder. Eleanor was a homemaker and enjoyed reading, embroidery, flowers, gardening and cats. She was a lifetime member of St. John Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Erna Heitner of North Mankato; a brother-in-law, Raymond (Bernice) Zastrow of Good Thunder; nephews, Dean (Sylvia) Heitner of Mankato, Dale (Barb) Heitner of North Mankato; niece, Gayle (Alan) Loeffler of Mankato; many great nieces and great nephews. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, brother, Melvin, and niece Shirley.
