Gary Dean Beetch, age 64, of Mankato, died Saturday, November 24, 2007 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Paul Nolting officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the Immanuel Lutheran School. Mankato Mortuary handled the arrangements.
Gary was born on February 16, 1943 in Mankato. He was the son of Clarence and Gladys (Miller) Beetch. Gary attended Franklin Elementary School and Immanuel Lutheran School. He was employed with Madsen's Grocery, which later became Randall's. He also worked as a car wash attendant and was a crossing guard for Franklin School for over 30 years. Gary was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He enjoyed biking, traveling with friends, eating at the Eagle's Nest in Eagle Lake, sports, wrestling, Westerns, and rides with his mother through Sibley Park.
Gary is survived by his mother, Gladys Beetch of Mankato; two aunts, Helen Miller and Helen Young, both of Mankato; good friend, Joanie Strand of Madison Lake; and several cousins, other family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence, two uncles, one aunt, and cousins.
