Loren H Sandstrom

Loren H. Sandstrom, 86, a longtime resident of Lake Crystal, died Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Lake Crystal Health Care Center.

Private family service will be held with burial in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Lake Crystal Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Loren was born May 7, 1921 to Willie and Alma (Larson) Sandstrom in Odin Township, Watonwan County, Minnesota. He served his country with the U.S. Army during World War II and was stationed in Germany with the 618th Quartermaster Co. He worked with his brothers as a carpenter. Loren enjoyed helping others.

Loren is survived by his siblings, McLain Sandstrom of Lake Crystal, Lorraine Richards of Albert Lea, Jerome Sandstrom of Lake Crystal, Leslie Sandstrom of Lake Crystal, LaDonna Nygaard of Austin, Darlene (John) Kotz of Owatonna, Norma (John) Christianson of Rogers; sister-in-law, Ruth Sandstrom of Lake Crystal; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Loren was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Myrtle; brother, Norval Sandstrom; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Milton Nygaard, Sally Sandstrom, Olaf Richards, Joyce Sandstrom, and Clela Sandstrom.
