Robert G Kimble

Robert George Kimble, age 92, of Mankato and formerly of Madison Lake, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at the Mankato Lutheran Home.

Memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m., Thursday, November 8, 2007 at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, Mankato, with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church. Memorials may be given to Mount Olive Lutheran School.

Robert was born in 1915 to Percy and Laura (Treanor) Kimble in Mankato. He graduated from Mankato Normal School in 1934. He was united in marriage to Ruth Thoen on November 19, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN. Robert farmed also ran his own feed mill, Lakeside Feed Mill of rural Madison Lake, before retiring in 1983. Robert and Ruth retired to Phoenix, AZ for several years. Robert was a member of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church and was a past deacon. He enjoyed square dancing, curling, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling.

Robert was a gentle, kind, and honest man who cared for his parents, loved without reserve his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, accepted all as they were and judged none. Certain of his salvation, he knew when God's plan for him was complete, his final home would be heaven. To God be the glory.

Robert is survived by his four children, Roberta Anton of North Mankato, Rebecca Anton and husband, John of Madison Lake, Susan Fredrickson and husband, Dale of St. Peter, David Kimble and wife, Linda of Madison Lake; nine grandchildren, Emily Anton, Christopher Anton and wife, Tina, Nicole Anton, Joshua Fredrickson and fianc", Kari Westling, Caia Fredrickson, Jacob Fredrickson, Damon Kimble and wife, Allison, Cybil Hassan and husband, Mohammed, Lance Kimble; eight great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth in 1995; brother, Kennard; sister, Margaret.
