Elizabeth Loeffler, age 89, of rural Madison Lake died, Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 2, 2007 at All Saints Catholic Church, Madison Lake with Rev. Robert Schneider and Rev. Syl Brown officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Madison Lake. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m., Thursday, November 1, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary with a 7 p.m. prayer service and will continue one hour before service at church on Friday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to All Saints Catholic Church or school, masses, Alzheimer's Research, or donor's choice.
Elizabeth was born April 1, 1918 to John Otto and Mary Elizabeth (Molitor) Haack in Mankato, MN. She graduated from Mankato High School. On September 2, 1953, Elizabeth was united in marriage to Carl Loeffler at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. She was a member of The All Saints Catholic Church, The Catholic Order of Foresters, Mankato Ct 552, and the St. Ann's Alter Society. Elizabeth enjoyed walking, gardening, and spending time with her family.
Elizabeth is survived by two sons: Thomas Loeffler and Joseph (Brenda) Loeffler; one daughter, Barbara (Robert) Fortier; three grandchildren: David and Ann Fortier and Katie Jo Loeffler; one brother, James (Monica) Haack; one sister, Florence (Charles) Lenz; and one sister in law, Darlene Loeffler.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 2002, sister, Leona Kolstad, and brother in law, Alvin Kolstad.
