Margaret J. "Peg" Addleman, age 97 of Mankato, and formerly of Lake Crystal died Saturday, October 13, 2007 at Mankato House Health Care Center.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 17, 2007 at First United Methodist Church in Lake Crystal with Rev. Debbie King-Quale officiating. Burial will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 -7 p.m. Tuesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the First United Methodist Church of Lake Crystal or the donor's choice.

Margaret was born on August 25, 1910 in Ixonia, Wisconsin. She graduated from Garden City High School in 1929 and from the Mankato Commercial College. Margaret was employed by Garden City Creamery as a bookkeeper. She was united in marriage to Ira J. Addleman on July 22, 1938, at the home of her parents in Garden City.

Margaret was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Lake Crystal for 69 years and also a member of Epworth Circle. She was also one of the individuals who help start the annual 24-hour prayer vigil that has continued for 51 years at the First United Methodist Church in Lake Crystal. Margaret was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Fern Chapter # 4, in Lake Crystal for 46 years, the Lake Crystal Garden Club, and Bridge Club. She was a volunteer for the Red Cross Bloodmobile. Margaret enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, sewing, watching golf (especially Tiger Woods), the Minnesota Twins, and traveling with her husband and in later years with Ruth Fredericksen to all 50 states, Canada and Mexico.

She is survived by a nephew, E. William "Bill" James and wife Margaret; grand niece, Renee Forseth and husband, Richard; grand nephew, William T. "Billy" James; great grand nephew and niece, Lukas and Lyssa Forseth; sister-in-law, LuElla Roberts and husband, Lyle; special cousin, Edith Scott; numerous other cousins.

Preceded in death by her, husband, Ira in 1986, her daughter, Joyce in 1959, and two brothers, Daniel James and Everett James.
