Phyllis C Olsen

Phyllis Catherine Olsen, age 85, of Eagle Lake died peacefully, Monday, October 1, 2007 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato, MN.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, October 5, 2007 at the Eagle Lake Church of Christ, Eagle Lake with Pastor Jeff Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Eagle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, October 4, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Friday.

Phyllis was born June 24, 1922 to Thomas and Margaret (Arnold) Wilson in Mankato, Minnesota. She worked six years as a manager of Evenson's Hallmark Cards from 1968 to 1974, then worked twelve years as a sales associate at Brett's Department Store. Phyllis was a former member of the American Business Women's Association, YMCA, American Legion Auxiliary, and The Eagle Lake Church of Christ.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Sandy (Tom) Baynes of Madison Lake; son, Tim Olsen of Mankato; two granddaughters, Jackie (Dan) Brodin of Eden Prairie, Jamie Jakobe of Mankato; two grandsons, Dana (Jenny) Olsen of Eagle Lake, Troy (Stacy) Olsen of Mankato; three great-granddaughters, Ashley and Cassie Brodin, Megan Frederick; four sisters-in-law, Emy Wilson of Mankato, Betty Schmidt of Minneapolis, Phyllis Ferrell of Madison Lake, Mary Olsen of Anoka; brother-in-law, Roger Olsen of St. Anthony; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Adlor on September 22, 2007; three sisters; and three brothers.
