Matthew D Byrne

Matthew D. Byrne, age 24 of St. Clair, died Thursday, September 27, 2007 in Clarksfield. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 3, 2007 at Christ the King Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Matthew was born on November 24, 1982 in St. Paul. He was the son of David and Susan (Long) Byrne Jr. Matthew attended school in Tracy. He was united in marriage to Jamie Goodburn on May 14, 2005 in Mankato. Matthew enjoyed hunting and fishing, farm work, and being outdoors.

Matthew is survived by his wife, Jamie and their daughter, Haylei James Byrne of St. Clair; parents, David and Susan Byrne Jr. of Roberts, WI; two brothers, Nathan Byrne of Currie and Andrew Byrne of Roberts, WI; paternal grandparents, David (Nancy) Byrne Sr. of St. Paul and Elaine Byrne of St. Paul; parents-in-law, Dennis and Tracy Goodburn of North Mankato; sister-in-law, Jennifer Goodburn of North Mankato; also many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents.
