Agnes C. Telander, age 94 of Mankato, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at the Mankato Lutheran Home.
Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Rev. Al Girtz and Rev. Jerry David officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Mankato. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Memorials are preferred to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Mankato Lutheran Home. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Agnes was born on May 15, 1913 in Granite Falls, MN to John and Randi (Aspen) Rolstad. She attended school in Granite Falls and various country schools. Agnes married William Telander on July 2, 1938. They farmed near Milaca until 1948 when they moved to the Mankato area. She currently was a resident of the Mankato Lutheran Home. Her main enjoyment in life was nurturing her family- being a wife and mother was important. She was a good example of living her faith.
Agnes is survived by her son and his wife, Dick and Sandy Telander of Alexandria; daughter-in-law, Annette Telander of Alexandria; special niece and her husband, Vivian and Wayne Tischer of Mankato; two brothers, Stanley (Mary) Rolstad of Mora, Calvin (Eileen) Rolstad of Hugo; brother-in-law, Stuart Thompson of California; five grandchildren, Susan, Karen, Mark, Alan and Kaye; ten great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband; four brothers; two sisters; two daughters; and two sons.
