Linnie F. Crane, age 79, of Mankato, died Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Immanuel"St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 29, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary, with Rev. Mark Miltimore officiating. Burial will be in Minneopa Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Friday at Mankato Mortuary and also one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Memorials may be given to Hillside Church or the Blue Earth Nicollet County Humane Society.
Linnie was born August 6, 1928 in Corsicana, TX. She was the daughter of Vernon and Bula (Scarborough) Mahoney. Linnie grew up and attended school in Corsicana. She was united in marriage to Melvin D. Crane on September 8, 1946 in Mankato. Linnie was a homemaker for her family. She was a member of Hillside Church in Mankato. Her family and her faith were most important to her. Linnie enjoyed watching sports on television, summer trips with her family, attending her grandchildren's and great-grandchildren's school functions, dinners out with her family, and spending time with her lap side canine companion, "Spanky".
Linnie is survived by her husband, Melvin of Mankato; three children, Linda (Duane) Sandborg of St. Peter, Carol Meier of North Mankato, and Melvin (Annette) Crane Jr. of Mankato; grandchildren, Brian Buelow, Kevin (Jackie) Sandborg, Keith (Brenda Hicks) Sandborg, Heidi (Shawn) Bergersen, Kelly (Dawn) Sandborg, Heather (Jeff) Baron, Kristin (Jennifer Koehler) Sandborg, Kimberley (Shawn) Deming, Sadie (Nathan) Whiting, Hannah Crane, and Aubrey Crane; sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Opa Louise (Glenn) Graber of Fort Wayne, IN and Lucy Coffmann of Dallas, TX; one brother, Robert (Carol) Mahoney of Fort Wayne, TX; half-sister, Wanda Sue (Clark) Harcrow of Waco, TX; two half-brothers, Vernon Mahoney Jr. and Claude Mahoney; also nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara Jean and Jerry Buelow; three brothers, Calvin, Marion, and Harold Mahoney.
