Adlor Cresswell Olsen, age 87, of Eagle Lake died peacefully, Saturday, September 22, 2007 at his home.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 27, 2007 at the Eagle Lake Church of Christ, Eagle Lake with Pastor Jeff Peterson officiating. Burial will be in Eagle Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Wednesday, September 26, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Thursday.

Adlor was born December 25, 1919 to Oswald C. and Ella Marie (Hanson) Olsen in Westbrook, Minnesota. He graduated from Mankato High School in 1939. He was united in marriage to Phyllis Wilson, the love of his life and bride of 65 years on September 15, 1942 in Mankato. He served his country in the 20th Armored Division of the U.S. Army during World War II. Adlor was employed by C & N Sales for 28 years. He served the City of Eagle Lake for 36 years, 24 years as councilman, and 12 years as mayor. He was a great hunter and fisherman and loved to mow the lawn.

Adlor is survived by his wife, Phyllis of Eagle Lake; daughter, Sandy (Tom) Baynes of Madison Lake; son, Tim Olsen of Mankato; two granddaughters, Jackie (Dan) Brodin of Eden Prairie, Jamie Jakobe of Mankato; two grandsons, Dana (Jenny) Olsen of Eagle Lake, Troy (Stacey) Olsen of Mankato; three great-granddaughters, Ashley and Cassie Brodin, Megan Frederick; two sisters, Betty Schmidt of Minneapolis, Phyllis Ferrell of Madison Lake; brother, Roger Olsen of St. Anthony; sister-in-law, Mary Olsen of Anoka; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Adlor was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Woodrow.
