Lloyd A Mann

Lloyd August Mann, age 71 of North Mankato, died Monday, September 17, 2007 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato, following a courageous battle with colon cancer.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday September 20, 2007 at Centenary United Methodist Church with Rev. Dean Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Wednesday at Mankato Mortuary.

Lloyd was born on June 29, 1936 to Clarence and Mabel (Brown) Mann in Mankato. He was a 1954 graduate of Mankato High School. He served in the Minnesota National Guard from 1954-1962. He was united in marriage to Sharon Holbrook on August 25, 1967 in St. Peter. He was a life long farmer at his family farm in Belgrade Township, Nicollet County. Lloyd attended Centenary United Methodist Church in Mankato. Lloyd loved the land and the farming of it. He also loved his family, and enjoyed snowmobiling along with other outdoor activities.

Lloyd is survived by his wife, Sharon Mann of North Mankato; daughter, Teresa (Bernie) Herzberg of Mankato; son Erik Mann (Patti Hornemann) of Mankato; three grandchildren, Julia and Joshua Herzberg and Kaleb Mann; two brothers, Paul (Rene) Mann of St. Peter, Howard Mann and special friend Ruth Miller of St. Peter; sister, Lorraine Johnson of North Mankato; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents; nephew, Terry Mann; sister-in-law, Elaine Mann; brother-in-law, Stanley Johnson.
