Nora L. Bergemann, age 97, of Vernon Center, died Saturday, September 15, 2007 at Lake Crystal Health Care Center.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at St. John's Lutheran Church of Willow Creek. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m., Tuesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday. Burial will be at North Willow Creek Cemetery.
Nora was born January 19, 1910 in Ceresco Township, to Herman and Ida (Erdner) Wester. She attended parochial school in Willow Creek for eight years. In 1930, Nora married William Bergemann in Willow Creek, where they continued to farm and make their home. She worked for thirty five years as a janitor at St. John's Lutheran Church in Willow Creek. During that time, Nora also worked at Stokley's VanCamp as a canning factory worker. She enjoyed crocheting, making quilts, and needlework. Nora was a member of Dorcas.
Nora is survived by her daughter, Alice (John) Schwardt of Madelia, MN; her son, Waldo (Nadene) Bergemann of Madison Lake, MN; son-in-law, Wilton Urban of Amboy, MN; eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William; daughter, Mildred Urban; and her parents.
