Evelyn Rose Busch, age 89, of Mankato passed away, Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at Laurel's Edge Assisted Living, Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 17, 2007 at Mankato Mortuary with Rev. Don Rauscher officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Mankato Mortuary with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour before service at Mankato Mortuary on Friday.
Evelyn was born August 12, 1918 to Richard and Philomena (Hoeger) Schaub in Mankato. She attended Good Counsel Academy. Evelyn played softball with the Mankato Women's Softball Team during 1940's. She was united in marriage to George E. Busch on November 4, 1940 in Mankato. She had been employed with H.L. Green Dime Store, Kato Engineering, Continental Can, and Midwest Electric all of Mankato. Evelyn was a member of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She enjoyed baking pies, singing and listening to music, and refinishing furniture.
Evelyn is survived by a daughter, Linda Borgmeier and husband, Phil of Eagle Lake; son, George Busch and wife, Laura of Madison Lake; three grandchildren, Jaimie Busch and wife, Noelle of Mankato, Kelly Garvin and husband, Marty of Eagle Lake, Anna Young and husband, Matt of St. Clair; six great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sam, and Noah Busch, Olivia and Luke Garvin, and Katelyn Young; sister, Clarice Busch and husband, Ralph of Mankato; sister-in-law, Lorraine Schaub of Mankato; one nephew, six nieces, and many extended family.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her husband, George on August 9, 2007 and her brother, Richard Schaub.
