Thomas Irvin O'Herin, age 69, of rural Mankato, died Tuesday, November 29, 2011 in Mankato.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, December 3, 2011 at SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Mankato, with Fr. Andy Olsem officiating. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at North Mankato Mortuary - NORTHVIEW, 2060 Commerce Dr., North Mankato, and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery in St. Clair.

Thomas Irvin O'Herin was born November 21, 1942 in Mankato to Daniel and Carol (Johnson) O'Herin. He attended school in St. Clair. Thomas married Delores "Dee" Hennegar on February 23, 1963 at SS. Peter and Paul in Mankato. He worked as a truck driver with Farm Systems and Leonard Gartner Trucking of Mapleton. He was also self-employed for a period of time, and Tom and Dee owned their own real estate business. Tom enjoyed time spent with family and friends, especially his grandkids. He also loved his pet cats and driving his truck. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends, and all whose lives he touched.

Tom is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dee of Mankato; 3 daughters, Denise (Andy) Seys of North Mankato, Christine (Jeffery) Kosak of Coon Rapids, Shelly (Steve Williams) O'Herin of Inver Grove Heights; 5 grandchildren, Ryan Seys, Steven Kosak, Daniel Kosak, Michael Seys, Julia Kosak; great grandson, Jude Seys; brother, Michael (Peggy) O'Herin of Jay, OK; sisters, Patricia (Don) Zumwalt of St. James, Joanne (Pete) Phillips of Mankato; also many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Daniel O'Herin; brother, Bob O'Herin.
