Mae Adelaide Morris, age 94, of Vernon Center, died Friday, November 25, 2011 at Mayo Clinic Health System, Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at Grace United Methodist Church, Vernon Center with Rev. Hilda Parks, officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m., Monday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Burial will be in Jerusalem Cemetery, rural Lake Crystal. Memorials may be given to an organization of the donor's choice.

Mae was born May 13, 1917 to Albert and Grace (Mennenga) Othoudt in rural Lake Crystal. As a young woman, Mae worked for many farm families in the Lake Crystal area. Mae was united in marriage to Thomas T. Morris on September 18, 1940 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal. Mae was an Avon Representative for over 43 years. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, and served as financial secretary for the church for many years, a position she still held. Mae enjoyed dancing and traveling with her husband, Tom, her morning coffee at Formerly Crane's, cooking, baking, and spending time with friends and family. She was known as "Grandma Mae" to everyone.

Mae is survived by three children, Margaret (William "Bill") James of Garden City, Elwyn "Butch" (Margaret) Morris of Winnemucca, NV, and Sharon (Larry) Lusky of Brentwood, TN; nine grandchildren, Renee (Richard) Forseth of North Mankato, William T. "Billy" James of Lake Crystal, Jeannie (Clifton) Brown of Winnemucca, NV, Tami (Randy) Fullerton of Elko, NV, Beth (Mickey) Jeppsen of Winnemucca, NV, Amy (Chris) Carden of Nashville, TN, Kim Lusky of Spring Hill, TN, Julie (Jerry) Hall of Brentwood, TN, and David (Heather) Lusky of Spring Hill, TN; fifteen great-grandchildren, Lukas and Lyssa Forseth, Sean (Sarah) Brown, Chad and Luis Brown, Catherine, Daniel, and Thomas Fullerton, Kortney Jeppsen, Ashley (Robert) Ballard, Sarah Carden, Conner, Anastin, and Brynleigh Hall, and Chloe Lusky; two great-great grandchildren, Hayley and Robert Ballard; brother, John (Gerry) Othoudt of Pine City; two sisters-in-law, Betty Othoudt of Mankato and LaVaun Morris of Lake Crystal; special friends, Opal Mae Emery and John Harkins; nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mae was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas on May 24, 1993; great-great grandchild, Brandon Michael Brown; five siblings, Dena Othoudt in infancy, Ray Othoudt, Diane (Martin) Muske, Theora (Cliff) Axtell, and Marilyn (Frank) Kurtz; two brothers-in-law, Ellis Morris and Evan (Ruby) Morris.
