David M. Prust, age 53 of North Mankato, died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at his home.

Graveside service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, November 26, 2011 in Fairview Cemetery, Terril, Iowa. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

David Mark was born October 6, 1958 to Bertram Herbert and Eleanore Marie (Schroeder) Prust in Estherville, IA. In 1977, he graduated from St. Peter High School. David was a cook at Bank on the Avenue in St. Peter for several years. He enjoyed working on his car, hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, water skiing, and the outdoors. David's greatest pleasures were the small things in life.

David is survived by his mother, Eleanore of Clarks Grove; siblings: Michael Prust of Mankato, Linda Prust of Hot Springs, AR, John Prust of Clarks Grove, Lois Koktavy of Las Vegas, NV, Karen Prust of Loomis, CA, Karleen (David) Mullen of Loomis, CA; two aunts, Anna Mae Iverson of Fairmont and Evelyn Sundall of Estherville, IA; step-mother, Ann Prust of St. Peter; many step-brothers and sisters; three nephews; one niece; and many cousins.

David was preceded in death by his father, Bertram; brother, Paul; step-mother, Ima Jean "Jean" Prust; step-brothers and sisters; aunts, uncles; and cousins.
