Marion G. Colby, age 92 of Mankato, died Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at Pathstone Living Community in Mankato.
A private family service will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Burial will be in Meadow Ridge Memorial Park in Faribault. Memorials may be sent to the SSND Retirement Fund, St. John the Baptist, or charity of donor's choice. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.
Marion Gladys Colby, daughter of Marie E. and Robert J. Martin Jr., was born March 25, 1919 in Lakefield, MN. She graduated from St. Margaret's Academy in Minneapolis. On July 18, 1941 she was united in marriage to Donald A. Colby in Minneapolis. She was a devoted member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. She had many friends and family who cared deeply for her, and she for them.
Marion is survived by her children, Catherine (Thomas) Bishop of Frankfort, MI, Carol (David) Maas of Fridley, MN, Robert Colby of Minnetrista, MN; four grandchildren, John Martin, Andrew, Amy, and Robert Donald; six great-grandchildren, Kara, Alison, Payton, Annabel, Ellen and Colby; many cousins, nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald in 2007.
