Steven Lloyd Wolters, age 63 died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at his home in Madison Lake.
Memorial service will be 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Northview - North Mankato Mortuary, 2060 Commerce Drive, North Mankato. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Northview prior to the start of service. The benefit scheduled for Saturday, November 26, 2011 will proceed as planned at the Morson Ario from 12 to 4 p.m.
Steve was born July 4, 1948 to Gordon and Bertha (McMurlyn) Wolters in Mankato. He was a truck driver for many years. Steve was united in marriage to Mary Lou Frederick August 12, 1978. He enjoyed going for drives in the car, mowing the yard, racing, spending time driving through car lots, and spending time with family especially the grandkids.
Steve is survived by his wife Mary Lou; children, Mark (Mona) Wolters of Lake Crystal; Brad (Shelly) Wolters of Paynesville; Tonya (Terry) Weston of Madison Lake; Melissa (Tim) Austad of Madison Lake; sister, Shelly (Dan) Miller of St. James; brothers, Gordy (Janelle) Wolters of Mankato; Clete Wolters of St. James; Jerry (Pam) Wolters of Lake Crystal; David (Shawn) Wolters of Mankato; Doug (Rhonda) Wolters of Mankato; Rodney (Cindy) Wolters of St. James; Brian Wolters of St. James; Donald Wolters of Mankato; brother-in-law Swede Paulson of St. James; ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Gordy and Bertha Wolters; sisters, Bonnie Paulson; Becky Wolters; two grandsons, Dustin and Justin Wolters.
