Kevin Leonard Meger, age 57 died Friday, November 18, 2011 at his home in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Mankato. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary and will continue from 9:30 a.m. to the start of service Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to donor's choice.

Kevin was born August 16, 1954 to Leonard and Theresa (Wagner) Meger in New Prague, MN. He was in the U.S. Army National Guard for sixteen years. Kevin was a self-employed truck driver and distributer since 1994. He was a member at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Kevin was a member at the VFW, past manager of the American Legion, trustee at the Eagles Club, and a member of the Moose Lodge. He was also on the board for the Mankato Area Softball Association. Kevin enjoyed supporting local veterans groups, cooking and volunteering, and especially umpiring and officiating.

Kevin is survived by his children, Melissa (Justin) Hildebrandt of Kansas City, KS; Brian (Jamie) Meger of Shakopee; Jessica Meger of St. Paul; grandchildren, Max and Lily; father, Leonard; siblings, Bruce, Gary, Monica (Duley), Leon; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his mother, Theresa; his grandparents and uncles and aunts.
