Tammy Lea Kenne, age 46, of North Mankato, lost her battle with cancer on Wednesday, November 16, 2011 at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 21, 2011 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Eugene Glade officiating. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-6 p.m. on Sunday at North Mankato Mortuary - NORTHVIEW, 2060 Commerce Drive, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Open Door Health Clinic.

Tammy was born on September 19, 1965 in Tracy. She was the daughter of George and Jan (Persons) Larson. Tammy was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Balaton. She was a graduate of Balaton High School and attended Rasmussen College in Mankato. She was united in marriage to Jeffrey Kenne on October 29, 1994 in Mankato. Over the years, Tammy was employed with Key City Insurance, C.O. Brown, and USA 4% Realty. She was a nursing assistant with several nursing homes, most recently at Laurel's Edge Assisted Living. Tammy was a member of Hosanna Lutheran Church and in her younger years participated in 4-H. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, music and playing piano, walking, reading, cooking, making lefse, and especially time spent at their lake home.

Grateful to have shared Tammy's life are her husband, Jeff and their daughters, Rachel and Naomi, all of North Mankato; parents, George and Jan Larson of Balaton; two sisters, Shelly (David) Nachreiner of Good Thunder and Annie (Don) Weets of Lake Benton; one brother, Don Larson and his special friend, Chris Mariner of Balaton; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Tubbs of Wabasso; also many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Lucille Larson, Earl and Helen Persons, and Richard Tubbs.
