Charles Randolph Hicok, age 73, of Lake Crystal, died Sunday, October 16, 2011 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Mankato.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2011 at First Methodist Church in Lake Crystal, with Rev. Debbie King Quale officiating. Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m., Saturday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to service at the church. Memorials are preferred to the First Methodist Church or the donors choice. Lake Crystal Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Chuck was born September 9, 1938 to William and Violet (Taron) Reese in Hudson, WI. He graduated from high school and attended two years of college. Chuck was united in marriage to June Schanbeck on April 28, 1963 in Masonville, IA. He served in the U.S. Army from "59 to "61 and in the National Guard from "74 to "77. Chuck worked as a welder for Year Round Cab for roughly twenty years. He was a member of First Methodist Church in Lake Crystal. Chuck enjoyed fishing, woodworking, playing cards, doing odd jobs and loved to sit with tea and his pipe visiting with family and friends.

Chuck is survived by his wife, June of Lake Crystal; children, Kevin (Heidi) Hicok of San Diego, CA, Jeff (Sharon) Hicok of New Brighton, MN, and Kyle (Kristin) Hicok of Stillwater, MN; grandchildren, Lauren, Anna, Elizabeth, Lexi, Johnny, Charlie, Cole, Taylor, Chris, Caty, Cam, and Cristina; sisters, Verlys Reese and DeLane Olds; and step-mother, Alveretta Reese.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Violet and step-father, George Hicok.
