Helen Kremer, age 82, of North Mankato, died Thursday, October 13, 2011 at Laurel's Peak in Mankato.
A Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, October 17, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato, with Fr. Peter Nosbush officiating. Visitation will be held from 1:00-3:00 p.m., Sunday, October 16 at North Mankato Mortuary " Northview Chapel, and will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Memorials preferred to the American Heart Association or donor's choice.
Helen Mary Kremer was born September 28, 1929 in Beaver Dam, WI to Harry and Catherine (Schmitz) Myhill. She graduated from high school at Good Counsel in 1947. Helen was united in marriage to Donald Kremer on October 4, 1948 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She was a homemaker for most of her life, raising seven children, and also worked as a cashier for a convenience store for some time. Helen loved playing cards and dice games, especially double solitaire with her mother. She also enjoyed spending summers up north and winters down south, but what she loved most was spending time and visiting with her friends and family.
Helen is survived by children, Gary (Vicki) of Mankato, Kathy (Tim) Eggersdorfer of North Mankato, Mike (Kathy) of Mankato, son-in-law, Doug Briggs of North Mankato, Mary (Myron) Storlien of Mankato, Steve (Bonnie) of North Mankato, Jeff (Brenda) of North Mankato; 18 grandchildren, Stacey, Laurie, Jennifer, Lisa, James, Dan, Jon, Nick, Chris, Andy, Mike, Matt, Mitch, Mark, Scott, Amy, Adam, and Katie; 9 great-grandchildren, Amber, Jordan, Abby, Kaylee, Hannah, Kyle, Brandon, Conner, and Brianna; two sisters, Eleanor (Bob) Olinger, Lorraine (Paul) Wenner; brother, Harry (Karen) Myhill Jr.
She was preceded in death by husband, Donald in 2008; her parents, and daughter, Karen Briggs.
