Raymund H Forst

Raymund Harry Forst, age 89 of Mankato, died Thursday, March 25, 2010 at Pathstone Living Community.

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at Mankato Mortuary. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5-7:30 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010 at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Memorials are preferred to Pathstone Living Community.

Raymund was born on July 2, 1920 in Lane, SD to William E. and Lilly (Hoffmann) Forst. He was a graduate of Lane High School in South Dakota. He went on to attend Mankato Commercial College. Raymund was united in marriage to Bernice Domas on April 9, 1944 in Worthington, MN. He was self-employed in typewriter sales and service. He was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato. He enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting, fishing, gardening, and most of all traveling the world by cruise ship, bus or car.

Raymund is survived by his daughters, Nancy Forst and husband, Felton Williams of Minneapolis, and Joyce Forst of Eagan, MN; brothers, Edwin (Lilli) Forst of North Mankato and Arthur Forst of Wessington Springs, SD; sister, Evelyn (Max) Satterlee of Iowa/Texas; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernice; and sister, Darlene Hilldebrand.
