Jeannie Biehn, age 61, of rural Madison Lake, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at her home. She had fought against cancer since 2007.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at All Saints Catholic Church, Madison Lake. Father Peter Klein, Jeannie's cousin will be officiating the service. Burial will be in Cleveland Lutheran Cemetery, rural Cleveland. Visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m., Tuesday at Mankato Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at church on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to an organization of the donor's choice.

Jeannie was born February 17, 1949 in Jamestown Township, Blue Earth County. She was the daughter of Harold and Margaretmary (Weber) Ploog. Jeannie was a graduate of Loyola High School in 1967. She then graduated from the Mankato Cosmetology Center in 1969 and immediately went to work for Sculpture Curl Salons in Mankato. She was united in marriage to Steve Biehn on September 30, 1972. On the birth of their first son, she moved, opened up and managed her own beauty salon in Madison Lake. She continued there until the time of her death. She had also worked for Mankato Mortuary for over 18 years.

Jeannie was a member of All Saints Catholic Church. She was active in the Cleveland American Legion Auxiliary 207, where she was the current president, membership chairperson, and had served on several committees.

Jeannie is survived by her husband, Steve of Madison Lake; two sons and daughters-in-law; Kevin and Camilla of Stillwater, Duane and Jill of Bemidji; three grandchildren, Isaiah, Ethan, and Claudia Opal; five brothers and their wives, Bernie and Kathy Ploog, Norm and Kathy Ploog, Bob and Julie Ploog, Dwayne and Gwyn Ploog, George and Mary Ploog; two sisters and their husbands, Helen and Jerry McCabe, Marie and Geno Rajtar; in-laws, Rick and Jane Biehn, Randy and Mic Biehn, Sandy and Paul Gieseke, Cindy and Bob Wieland, Deb and Ron Veith; many, many nieces and nephews.

Jeannie was preceded in death by her parents; mother- and father-in-law, Wayne and Opal Biehn; brother-in-law, Terry Biehn; one niece; three great-nephews; several special aunts; other relatives and friends.
