Keith R Goppert

Keith Richard Goppert, age 55 of Mankato, died Thursday, February 18, 2010 at Immanuel Saint Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary on Wednesday. Burial will be performed at sea by the U.S. Navy.

Keith was born January 16, 1955 to Arthur "Bud" and Elizabeth "Bonnie" (Place) Goppert in Niagara Falls, NY. He attended school in California before entering the U.S. Navy. Keith was united in marriage to Rebecca Webster on May 31, 2003 in Mankato. He was in the U.S. Navy for 20 years and spent the past six years working for Verizon in Mankato. Keith enjoyed computers, fishing, camping, reading, music and playing guitar.

Keith is survived by his wife, Rebecca of Mankato; two daughters, Alicia (Matt) Reynolds of Braham and Stacy (Troy) Houston of Normal, IL; one step-son, Sean Webster-Mulcahy of Mankato; five grandchildren, Kindal, Jesse, Genevieve, Benton, and Griffin; two brothers, Ted (Linda) Goppert and Don Goppert; also other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
