Julia Hannah Tran Lam, age 18, of Mankato, died Monday, January 18, 2010 as the result of an automobile accident near Mapleton.
A private family service will be held. Public visitation will be from 4 " 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 21, 2010 at Mankato Mortuary.
On November 14, 1991 the sun became brighter because Julia was born. She is deeply loved and cherished by her family and in turn she deeply cherished us. Julia is a miracle, Julia Hannah, youthful gift from God. She is an amazing daughter, granddaughter, sister and friend. She is compassionate, empathetic and strong. She is an extremely talented and inspired musician and artist. She loves learning and pursues her studies with passion. She loves nature and is a passionate environmentalist. Our girl is beautiful; perfect. She encouraged and nurtured her parents and sees us as uniquely important in her life. We cherish each moment and feel her with us still.
Julia is a rare flower that appears only once and we are privileged to have had 18 years to gaze upon this beauty and bask in the fragrance of these perfect moments.
Julia is survived by her father, Quy (Patrice) Tran Lam of Vinton, IA, mother, Karie Soost of Mankato; siblings, Dave, Audrey, Sam, Emerson, and Ingrid Tran Lam; paternal grandparents, Dr. and Mrs. Bao Tran Lam; aunts and uncles, Karen (Ron) Paquin, Charles (Barb) Soost, Karel (Richard) Kelling, Elmer H. Soost, Binh (Hoa) Tran Lam, Quynh (David) Anh (Khalid) Habib, Vi (Rahim) Ahmadi.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Elmer and Margie Soost.
