Darrell T Wobbrock

Darrell T. Wobbrock, age 76, of Mankato died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Pathstone Living in Mankato.

Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Christ the King Lutheran Church, Mankato with Rev. John Petersen officiating. Interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Clinton Falls, Minnesota, at a later date. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to ISJ Renal Dialysis, Pathstone Living, or Christ the King Lutheran Church. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Darrell was born May 29, 1933 to John and Madeline (Brase) Wobbrock in Faribault. After graduation from Medford High School he served in the U.S. Army from 1953-55 and was stationed at Camp Chaffee in Arkansas. He married Colleen Morrison in 1953. She died in 1994. He attended Mankato State and Mankato Commercial College. Darrell worked for Team Electronics and for H&C Electric for 30 years as a salesman. After retiring he worked part time for G&L Auto in Mankato. In May of 1997 he married Doris "Dory" Rush. Darrell was a member of Christ the King Lutheran Church, American Legion Post 422 and a past member of Mankato Sertoma Club. Darrell enjoyed traveling, especially to airplane museums, watching baseball, and spending time with family and friends.

Darrell is survived by his wife, Doris "Dory" of Mankato; daughter, Allison (Dan) Sorenson of Dickens, IA; son, Adam Wobbrock of North Mankato; grandchildren, Ashley and Chad Sorenson and Joanna Wobbrock; brothers, Lloyd (Alice) Wobbrock of Claremont, Ron (Liz) Wobbrock of Big Lake; Chuck (Jan) Wobbrock of Owatonna; brother-in-law, Randy (Marci) Morrison of Middleton, WI; sister-in-law, Jean (Bill) Anderson of Mankato; several nieces and nephews.

Darrell was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, Colleen.
