Barbara Jean Stamereilers, age 55 of North Mankato, died Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

Memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, January 16, 2010 at Mankato Mortuary. Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday at the mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.

Barbara was born on September 16, 1954 to Erwin and Gertrude Fries in Arlington. She graduated from Good Counsel Academy in 1972. Barbara married Warren Stamereilers on July 29, 1972 in Mankato. Barbara worked at Del's Caf" and also at Midwest Electric. She went on to work at Rug and Carpet Caretakers for 15 years before being employed at Service Master as an account supervisor. Barbara enjoyed being with family and grandkids, flower gardening, and being with her dogs Budda and Zeus. She also loved holidays and setting up her Christmas village.

Barbara is survived by her husband of 37 years, Warren; daughters, Jenny Stamereilers and Dawn Adams both of North Mankato; sons, James Stamereilers of Mankato and Daniel Stamereilers of North Mankato; three grandchildren, Kristina Rodriguez, Tyler Adams, and Taylor Adams; sisters, Elizabeth Fries of St. Peter, Peggy Thieman of Le Sueur, and Lisa Gomez of North Mankato; brother, Bob Fries of Henderson; special friends, Douglas Browne of North Mankato, Judy Anderson of Mankato, and Debbie Ridout of Kasota; brothers-in-law, Orville (Linda) Stamereilers of Mankato, and Duane Stamereilers of North Mankato; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law, John Stamereilers; mother-in-law, Nina Stamereilers; and grandson, Zachary Rodriguez.
