Charlene S. Schuch, age 66, left our world for her heavenly home on Tuesday, August 11, 2010. She died peacefully at her home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2010 at St. Matthew's Catholic Church, Vernon Center with Fr. Brian Sutton, officiating. A luncheon will follow the service at church. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Friday, August 13, 2010 at Mankato Mortuary with a Rosary reading at 7 p.m. The visitation will continue one hour before service at church on Saturday. Interment will be in St. Matthew's Catholic Cemetery, Vernon Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to United Hands Hospice, Box 160, Blue Earth, MN 56013
Charlene Susan Lunz-Schuch was born July 4, 1944 in North Mankato. She was the daughter of Alvin and Charlotte (Suess) Lunz. Charlene was baptized and confirmed at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in North Mankato. She graduated eighth grade at Holy Rosary and her high school graduation was in 1962 from Good Council Academy in Mankato. She married Arthur Schuch from Eagle Lake on May 25th, 1963 at Holy Rosary Church. Charlene was proud of her main occupation as a dedicated wife and beloved mother. Other accomplishments include Choir Member, St. Matthew's Catholic Church Music Director, Certified Nursing Assistant, Loving Friend, Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
Charlene is survived by her husband of 47 years, Arthur Schuch of Amboy; daughter, Annette (Jeff) Nygaard of Carlisle, Pennsylvania; two sons, Andrew (Janet) Schuch of Rogers, Arkansas and Alan (Karen) Schuch of Marshall; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren; two brothers; Ron (Esther) Lunz of New London and Gary (Janet) Zuehlke of Eagle Lake.
Charlene was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Lunz; mother, Charlotte Zuehlke, step father, George Zuehlke and grandmother, Christine Suess.
