Nancy was born October 3, 1948 to James and Charlotte (Moulton) Mikels in Endicott, NY. She was married to her husband Tom on August 8, 1964 in Union Center, NY.

Most of her life was spent being a homemaker, mother, and grandmother to her beloved family. Nancy always put health, welfare, and compassion for others as a priority. The family traveled plenty as Tom's job required and besides New York, they previously resided in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Georgia, Texas and Missouri prior to settling in Minnesota. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family as well as crafts, rock collecting, gardening, scrapbooking, making jewelry, cooking, cruising, volunteering and charity work. In more recent years Nancy joined Tom in taking their cooking hobby around the country and winning many BBQ competition awards. In 1990 they won the American Royal Championship together that led them to forming Lone Wolf BBQ, and Nancy, as co-owner with Tom, opened a restaurant and eventually their current catering business in Mankato.

Nancy is survived by her husband Tom of 46 years; daughters Theresa Allison of Gainesville, Georgia, Amy Zimmerman of North Mankato, son Michael Wallace of Seattle, Washington; grandchildren Adam, Herschel, Amanda, and Jennifer and great-grandson Ayden; mother, Charlotte; brothers Bob (Pat) Mikels, Mark (Laurie) Mikels, and Jimmy of New York; as well as several nephews and nieces (especially Lisa).
