Orville L Klinkner

Orville Louis Klinkner of Lake Crystal, age 76, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away July 18, 2010 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rochester, MN as a result of multiple strokes.

A memorial service will be held Thursday July 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal with a luncheon to follow. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Lake Crystal Mortuary. A private graveside service will be held later at Minneopa Cemetery.

Orville was born June 7, 1934 in Bluffton, MN. He was the 13th child born to Frank and Margaret Klinkner of Madelia, MN. He served in the armed forces from 1952-1954. On January 14, 1956 Orville married his sweetheart, Nancy Roberts. In the years to follow he enjoyed family life with his six children. Orville was a hard worker and dedicated individual. Throughout his life he enjoyed hobby farming, gardening, ballroom dancing and playing cards.

Orville is survived by his wife Nancy of 54 years; his children, Rhonda Roberts of Sherwood AR; Allen Klinkner of Lake Crystal; Audrey (Jeff) Childs of Jeffersonville, OH; Joan Thielbar of Faribault; Peggy Herring of Portage, MI; Dean (Sheri) Klinkner of Howard Lake; four brothers; four sisters and many nieces and nephews.

Orville was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one son-in-law, Steve Thielbar. Orville and Nancy were blessed with 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
