Katherine M Larson

Katherine Mary Larson, age 93 of Rochester, died, Wednesday, June 23, 2010 at Golden Living Center in Rochester.

Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Crystal, with Rev. Randall Lubbers officiating. Burial will be in Lake Crystal Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the church on Wednesday. Lake Crystal Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

Katherine was born June 27, 1916 in Lake Crystal to Hugh and Mary (Jones) Pritchard. She graduated from Lake Crystal High School in 1934. On June 27, 1940, she and Wilfred A. "Bill" Larson were married in Lake Crystal at the home of Fern and Floyd Pritchard. They lived the greater share of their married life in Minneapolis and Bowie, Maryland. Katherine was employed by the Prince George's Memorial Library for 14 years. After retirement they both returned to Minnesota. The highlight of returning to Lake Crystal was renewing of long time friends.

Katherine is survived by her daughters, Jane (Andrew) Parkinson of Columbia, MD and Nancy Pierce of Rochester, MN; granddaughters, Rachel Parkinson, Sue (Charles) Jordan, Katherine (Brian) Loucks, and Tracy Hedlund; 14 great-grandchildren.

Katherine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, W.A. "Bill" Larson; son, Donald R. Larson; son-in-law, Duane Pierce; two sisters and three brothers.
