Gail Anne Schroedl, age 53 of Morristown, formerly of Mankato, died Monday, June 28, 2010 at Abbott-Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, July 2, 2010 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Andy Ritchie officiating. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. until the service time at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery in Mendota Heights. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to the donor's choice. Mankato Mortuary is handling arrangements.

Gail was born on December 25, 1956 in Minneapolis. She was the daughter of Robert and Dorothy (Carines) Pipes. Gail was a 1975 graduate of Mankato East High School and received an Associate's Degree in Child Development from South Central Technical College in North Mankato. She had been employed with the Mankato School District and was most recently with Elm Day Care in Waseca. Gail was united in marriage to Gary Schroedl on May 14, 2004 in Mankato. She enjoyed traveling, shopping, watching t.v., playing computer games, and spending time with her grandchildren.

Gail is survived by her husband, Gary Schroedl of Morristown; four children, Heidi (Justin) Frederick of Shakopee, Becky Fitzpatrick and her special friend, Heath of Mankato, Jacob Fitzpatrick and his special friend, Alysse of Mankato, and Ryan Fitzpatrick and his special friend, Karrissa of Mankato; three step-children, Jamie (John) Knopik of Ham Lake, Stephanie Schroedl and her special friend, Sam of Waseca, and Tim Schroedl of Las Vegas, NV; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Roger (Deb) Pipes of Mankato and David (Lori) Pipes of Kingsland, GA; one sister, Lori (Danny) Jackson of Independence, MO; also many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
