Mark R Hauser

Mark Robert Hauser, age 48, of North Mankato, loving father of James and Kate died peacefully on Wednesday, at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital, from complications of a stroke, surrounded by his loving children and family.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Messiah Lutheran Church in North Mankato, with Rev. Jim Ahlquist officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary, and continues one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Interment will be at 5:00 a.m., Monday, June 21, 2010 at Calvary Cemetery in Mankato. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.


Mark was born on August 3, 1961 to James and LorJean (Abram) Hauser in Mankato. He attended school in North Mankato and graduated from Mankato West High School. He attended Thief River Falls Community College and Mankato State University. He was the owner of Hauser Siding and Windows.

Mark was a single father whose life was devoted to his children, they enjoyed spending time at their place at the lake and he enjoyed spending time with his children in the outdoors and in northern Minnesota. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, boating, muskrat trapping and spending time with friends. He also enjoyed cooking, gardening, and preserving food from his large garden, and feeding wildlife. Mark was a lifelong resident of North Mankato.

Mark is survived by his two children, James and Kate Hauser; mother, LorJean Hauser of North Mankato; two brothers, Dennis (Anna Marie) Hauser of Pocatello, Idaho and Ron (Kelly) Hauser of Mankato; nephew, Charles Hauser of Mankato; nieces, Heather (Adam) Kluge of Burnsville, Laura, Julie, and Christina Hauser of Pocatello, Idaho.

Mark was preceded in death by his father, James Hauser and his grandparents.
