Audrey Schulz, age 74 of Mankato, died Friday, June 11, 2010 at Immanuel-St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato after a three year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Minneopa Cemetery in rural Mankato. A time to remember with family and friends will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 19, 2010 at the Eagle's Club Basement (Rock Street side entrance) located at 708 North Riverfront Drive in Mankato with parking in the Rock Street lot behind DenCo Lighting. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to ISJ Cancer Center or the donor's choice. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family.
Audrey Schulz was born July 3, 1935 to John and Jeanette (VanBeck) Reuskens in St. Paul, MN. She was united in marriage to John G. Schulz on October 20, 1951 in Mankato. In her early years Audrey worked at the Century Club, Madsen's Value Center, Eagles Club and with her husband's business, John's Frozen Foods.
She volunteered her time with the Eagle's Club and was a past Auxiliary President of the club. Audrey was also a life member of the KATO Cycle Club.
Audrey enjoyed games of chance, going out for lunch and dinner with friends, and loved spending time with family and her great granddaughter, Isabella.
Audrey is survived by her two sons, Mike (Terry) Schulz of Osakis, MN, Doug (Rhonda) Schulz of North Mankato; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Chad) Mohr, Jeremy Schulz and special friend Brad, Tony, Paul, and Tami Schulz, Brian (Erica) Starkovich, and Tracy (Joe) Vaa; ten great-grandchildren and special great-granddaughter, Isabella Cali Mohr; sister-in-law, Donna Franks; nieces and nephews.
Audrey was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John in 2006; infant son, Jeff; two sisters, Bernice and Nell.
