Mary Lou Nierman

Mary Lou Nierman, age 69 of Madison Lake, MN, died Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2010 at All Saints Catholic Church in Madison Lake, with Fr. Robert Schneider officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church before the service Saturday. Burial will be in Calvary All Saints Cemetery in Madison Lake. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Lou (Leesch) Nierman was born October 6, 1940 in Mankato to Mr. and Mrs. Louis Leesch. She graduated from Mankato West High School in 1959. On November 3, 1962, she married Donald Nierman. She was a member of All Saints Church, Madison Lake J.C. Women, Madison Lake Family Action, and was on the city council at Madison Lake from 1987 to 2006. She was also involved with St. Anne's Altar Society at All Saints Catholic Church. Mary Lou was employed at E.F. Johnson of Waseca, MN from 1975 to 1997.

Mary Lou is survived by her husband, Donald; daughter, Robin (Dale) Hoelscher and grandsons, Wesley and Nathan, all from Janesville, MN; one son, Don (Jackie) Nierman and grandson, Lane, all of Madelia, MN; one sister, Jeannie (Dave) Waltermann; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, and her brother-in-law.
