Paul Edwin Martindale Sr., age 78 of Mankato, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Hillcrest Health Care Center.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato. There will be a time to visit with the family following the service. Mankato Mortuary is handling the arrangements.
Paul was born on May 13, 1932 in Bloomington, IN. He was the son of Lloyd and Mildred (Calvert) Martindale. Paul was a graduate of Bloomington High School. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1951 to 1955. Paul was employed as an RCA forklift driver in Bloomington for over 25 years and retired in the early 1980's. He moved to the Mankato area in 2001 and entered Hillcrest Health Care Center in 2004. Paul enjoyed time spent with his children and grandchildren, fishing, and time spent at his cabin.
Paul is survived by his three children, Paul Martindale Jr. of Bloomington, IN, Deb (Roger) Otto of St. Clair, and Marie Bennett of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Anthony Martindale, Jeremy, Dustin, and Karl Otto, Jeffrey (Jenee) Bennett and Kacee Bennett; one brother, Raymon (Carrie) Martindale of Greenwood, IN; one sister, Betty Bryson of Miamisburg, OH; also nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a step-father, Patrick Smith.
