"I have finished the plan for my final client. In payment I expect to get a set of keys to the gate at his property line."
Jim Kagermeier passed over on May 20, 2010, after 22 years of battling heart disease.
"At my request, there will be no viewing or funeral. You'll have to remember me from when last we spoke." There will be a very intimate service to be held for the family only and officiated over by my friend Rev. Chuck Christensen of Trinity Lutheran of Saint Peter. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
I've been so lucky to have so many friends and to have participated in many community organizations over the years.
"I was born at Union Hospital, New Ulm to Max and Margaret Kagermeier on March 16, 1935. I was a product of the New Ulm Public School System, attended Hamline University and graduated with my Professional degree from the University of Minnesota School of Architecture in June 1959. On June 20, 1959, I married Sandy Garton, daughter of Lyle and Emeleth Garton, in New Ulm. Sandy is my best friend and my love for over 50 years. Together we raised three boys; Jeff, Jim, and Jordan."
"I'm survived by my wife, Sandy; my sons and their wives and children, Jeff, with Shari and Olivia; Jim, with Kristin and Martin; and Jordan's bride Jessica and Ruth." "I was preceded in death by my son, Jordan, my parents, and my sister, Sandra."
