Robert John Bresser, age 87, of Lake Crystal, died Sunday, May 16, 2010 at Autumn Grace in Mankato.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 21, 2010 at Zion Lutheran Church, Lake Crystal with Rev. Nancy Dreier officiating. Burial will be in Woodland Hills Memorial Park, Mankato. Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday at Lake Crystal Mortuary and will continue one hour before service at the church on Friday. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association or an organization of the donor's choice.

Robert was born May 22, 1922 in Taunton, Minnesota to John F. and Anna (Kluck) Bresser. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army from 1941-45 stationed in Germany. Bob was united in marriage to Viola "Tootie" Schutte in South Dakota. He had been employed with Judd Brown and Loveall Construction for many years. Bob was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church, John Roth American Legion Post 294 of Lake Crystal, was past president of the Crystal-Loon Lake Recreation Association. Bob was a very hard worker and was busy with lawn mowing and snow blowing for many people in his later years. Bob enjoyed fishing, woodworking, was a jack of all trades, and enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.

Bob is survived by his wife, Viola "Tootie" of Lake Crystal; three children, Bev (Larry) Hawker of Lake Crystal, Michael (Karen) Bresser of Madison Lake, Bryon (Theresa) Bresser of Faribault; grandkids, Kimberly (Rod) Lilly of Mankato, Robert (Stacey) Hawker of Lake Crystal, Jason (Jean) Bresser of Austin, Kevin Bresser and fianc", Linnea Salseg of Mankato, Nicole Bresser and special friend, Nick Fossen of Mankato, Jennifer Hyronimus and special friend, Frankie Gonzalez of Minnesota Lake, Ashley Bresser of Janesville; three children from a previous marriage, Roger, Dick, and Sheila; and many extended family.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark; one brother; and two sisters.
