Marlene Olga Auringer, age 75 of Mankato, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, April 29, 2010 at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Mankato, with Rev. Jack Dahl officiating. Visitation will be from 1-3 p.m. at the church on Thursday. Memorials are preferred to the American Cancer Society.
Marlene was born on August 31, 1934 in Mankato to Walter and Harriet (Summers) Hackbarth. She was a graduate of Nicollet High School. Marlene was united in marriage to Ernest Auringer on July 16, 1954. She was a homemaker for her family. Marlene was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. She enjoyed square dancing, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and traveling.
Marlene is survived by her husband, Ernest of Mankato; two daughters, Pam (Roger) Moeri of Mankato and Penny Larson and her special friend, Tom Wild of Coon Rapids; three grandsons, Wayne (Kim) Larson of Mankato, George Larson and his special friend, April of Kasota, and Ty Moeri of Mankato; nine great-grandchildren; mother, Harriet Hackbarth of Nicollet; two sisters, Shirley Clifford of Nicollet and Lynn Bode of Courtland; two brothers, Rick Hackbarth of Nicollet and Allan Hackbarth of Mankato; also nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and a great-great-grandson.
