Howard M. Larsen, age 83, of Mankato died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital, Mankato.
Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Bethel Baptist Church, Mankato. Visitation will be one hour before service at church on Wednesday. Mankato Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
Howard was born February 5, 1927 in Mora, Minnesota to James and Ellen (Lundberg) Larsen. He moved to Albert Lea in his early years and grew up and attended school in the area. He served his country in the U.S. Army for four years. He was united in marriage to Wilma Dunsworth in 1950. They moved to Mankato in 1988. He enjoyed woodworking, hunting, and fishing. He loved being with his family.
Howard is survived by his wife, Wilma; two sons, John (Debra) Larsen, Jeff Larsen both of Mankato; granddaughter, Angela Larsen of Mankato; two grandsons, Tucker (Roseann) Larsen, Tyler (Tiffany) Larsen, all of Albert Lea; five great-grandchildren; sister, Helen Kreager of Albert Lea; two brothers, Kenneth (Esther) Larsen and Alvin Larsen both of Albert Lea; nieces and nephews.
Howard was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters; one brother.
He was a kind and gentle man that will be dearly missed by his family.
