Michael J Ryan

Michael Joseph Ryan, age 54 of North Mankato, died Sunday, April 18, 2010 at his home.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary. Private family burial will be held. Visitation will be from 5 " 7 p.m., Thursday at Mankato Mortuary.

Michael was born July 2, 1955 to Robert and Elizabeth (Kennedy) Ryan. He graduated from St. John's University with a Bachelors of Fine Art. Michael was a graphic artist and recently worked in marketing at Sam's Club in Mankato.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his son, Evan, through which both learned more about each other and the world. He was an artist and appreciated good music and conversation. Those closest remember him as a tolerant, forgiving, and compassionate person.

Michael is survived by his son, Evan of North Mankato; step-mother, Diane Ryan of Rochester; sister, Kathleen (Mike) Hawkins of Rochester; brother, Robert T. Ryan of Minneapolis; brother, Thomas Ryan (Karen) of North Mankato, brother, James Ryan of Rochester, sister, Barbara (Mike) Shinder of Charlotte, N.C.; nieces and nephews, Alissa Ryan, Megan Ryan, Ryan Gabel, and Jeremy Strelow.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Elizabeth.
