Dolores Mathilda Krause

Dolores Mathilda Krause, age 83 of Mankato, died on April 15, 2010 at Immanuel " St. Joseph Hospital after a battle with cancer.

Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2010 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Mankato with Rev. Jay Dahlvang officiating. Burial will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Woodville Cemetery in Waseca. Visitation will be held from 2 " 5 p.m. Sunday at Mankato Mortuary and one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Memorials may be given to Immanuel " St. Joseph's Hospice or Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Dolores was born in Alton Township, Waseca County on February 8, 1927 to Otto and Alwine (Sievert) Braun. She was baptized February 9, 1927 and confirmed on April 6, 1941. She married Kenneth Krause on June 10, 1962 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Janesville. They lived in Mankato and were members of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.

Dolores was a loved and cherished mother and grandmother. Homemaking and caring for her family were her love and joy. She also enjoyed embroidery, genealogy, swimming, Bible study, and church activities. Her engaging smile and laugh made all feel welcome in her home.
Dolores is survived by two sons: James and wife Paula of Eden Prairie, MN and John and wife Betsey of Westerville, OH; seven grandchildren: Oliver, Peter, Marta, Caroline, Timothy, Cynthia, and Anna; twin sister Doris Manthey of rural Janesville, MN; brother William and wife Florence Braun of rural Waseca, MN; nieces and nephews; and sister-in-law Lorraine Klinger of Austin, MN.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth in 2009, granddaughter Sarah Krause, and brothers-in law Lyle and wife Allegra Krause, Wesley Klinger and Raymond Manthey.
