Lorraine Marion Schaub, age 86, of Mankato, died Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 17, 2010 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Mankato. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Mankato. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m., Friday at Mankato Mortuary with a 7 p.m. prayer service and will continue one hour before service at church on Saturday. Memorials may be given to Hilltop Neighbors or VINE.

Lorraine was born December 3, 1923 to Benjamin and Augustina (Conrad) Jones in Mankato. She graduated from Mankato High School in 1942. Lorraine was united in marriage to Richard B. Schaub on August 17, 1946 at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. She was a homemaker for her family. Lorraine was a member of Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church; she volunteered at MRCI and was a member of PALS at the Summit Center. She enjoyed sewing, shopping, and spending time with her family.

Lorraine is survived by her two daughters, Karen (Joseph) Hanzel of Jordan and Cinda Weimert of Mankato; five grandchildren, Michael (Gaby) Hanzel, Bradley (Gina) Hanzel, Heidi (Sean) McFarland, Bree (Bob) Meyer, Jared (Shandy) Weimert; eight great-grandchildren, Mia and Evan Hanzel, William Hanzel; Juliana and Kassiani McFarland, Jackson and Savannah Meyer, Noah Weimert; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Clarice Busch of Mankato; nieces and nephews.

Lorraine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Richard, November 12, 2001; son-in-law, Stephen Weimert, November 14, 2009; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, George and Evelyn Busch.
