Eleanor M Sargent

Eleanor Marie Sargent, age 95, of Good Thunder, formerly of Mankato, died Friday, April 09, 2010 at Immanuel St. Joseph's Hospital in Mankato.

Private family memorial service and burial will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. Mankato Mortuary is assisting the family with arrangements.

Eleanor was born May 14, 1914 in Decoria Township, Blue Earth County, Minnesota to George and Emma (Wirsing) Schumacher. She was a homemaker for most of her life and enjoyed cooking and playing cards. Eleanor was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Decoria Township.

Eleanor is survived by four children, Dale (Frances) Sargent of Janesville; Donald (Rosemary) Sargent of Mankato; Darwin (Jo Ann) Sargent of Kasota; Dee Ann Winkler and special friend Harry Petrowske of Good Thunder; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Irma Ganzel of Mankato; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Christopher in 1984; one granddaughter-in-law, Mary.
