Jerome "Jerry" Cattrysse, age 76, of North Mankato, died on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 at Grandview Good Samaritan Center in St. Peter.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Rev. Samuel Leonard, I.V.E. officiating. Visitation will be on Monday, April 5 from 4-7 p.m. at Mankato Mortuary with a 4 p.m. prayer service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to V.I.N.E. Faith in Action.

Jerry was born on April 4, 1933 in Mankato to Emil and Agnes (Suess) Cattrysse. He graduated from Loyola High School in 1951. Jerry served in the United States Navy from 1951-1955 in the Sea Bees during the Korean War. On February 4, 1956 Jerry was united in marriage to Joan Reid at SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church. Jerry worked for DM Stamps and Plastics, Sween Corporation, and Mankato Corporation. Jerry owned and operated US Engravers for many years. He was a member of SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church and a founding member of the Key City Bald Eagles radio controlled model airplane club. He enjoyed assembling and flying model airplanes, photography, and following his children and grandchildren's sporting events. Jerry had a great sense of humor.

Jerry is survived by his wife Jo of North Mankato; children: Tim (Lynn) of Mounds View, MN, Michael (Judy) of Judson, David of Spirit Lake, IA, John (Deb) of North Mankato, Barb (Ripley) Smith of Blaine, Tom (Kelly) of North Mankato, and Dawn (David) Filzen of Powder Springs, GA; grandchildren: Jill (Chris) Larson and Callista, Laura and Kristine Cattrysse, Catie Cattrysse, J.J. and Derrick Cattrysse, Erika, Briana, Mikala, and Sierra Smith, Dani and Jake Cattrysse, and Alex, Matthew, and Samantha Filzen; siblings: Al (Joyce) Cattrysse, Joan (Ted) Genelin, and Wayne (Gwen) Cattrysse; and several nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, son, Daniel, sister, Elaine, brother, Dale, and mother and father-in-law, Berchie and Irene Reid.
